
KCRW facilitated the CSOA board’s comprehensive planning process to revitalize the orchestra, which had been saddled with flat membership growth and contributions. Following an aggressive but energizing timeline to keep the board engaged and the process moving, KCRW returned with a series of unconventional strategic initiatives that have resulted in new approaches to both the artistic and the business sides of the orchestra. The plan was adopted in 2006, and is, according to the chair of the planning committee, “a plan we can do.”
